Francesc Llorens i Riu

He studied at La Llotja, the Barcelona School of Fine Arts, where he specialised in drawing and composition. Some years later he contributed to magazines such as La Ilustració Catalana and L'Avenç while at the same time holding individual exhibitions of his work in Sala Parés (Petritxol, 5).
He also worked as a cabinet maker, mostly using designs by other artists such as, for instance, J. Pascó.
