Barcelona (1873) - Badalona (1954)
His work as a landscape painter is well known, but he was also a stage designer and interior decorator. An example of this facet is the decoration of the former Casa Figueras (1902; Rambla, 83; now the Escribà cake shop) in Barcelona which he did in 1902.
He studied at La Llotja, the Barcelona School of Fine Arts, and chose the genre of landscapes of a Romantic and literary nature. He gained recognition as a painter, exhibited at Sala Gaspar and Casa del Llibre in Barcelona, and presented works at various exhibitions in Spain and all over Europe.
He also made some textile designs.
