He qualified in 1875 and became municipal architect of Mataró until 1892. As such, together with Melcior Palau, he drew up the Expansion Plan for Mataró and designed the building of El Rengle market (1891;Plaça Gran, 11), which was completed by the architect J. Puig i Cadafalch, and the Chapel of the Sacrament of the basilica of Santa Maria, in Neo-Byzantine style (1892; Plaça Gran).
