He qualified as an architect in 1902 and was one of the collaborators of the architect A. Gaudí, in whose workshop he worked until 1914. He participated in the works of Casa Batlló (1904; Passeig de Gràcia, 43) and the Temple of the Sagrada Família (1882; unfinished), and following the death of F. Berenguer he directed the works of Colònia Gu?ell (1890; Claudi Gu?ell, s/n, Santa Coloma de Cervelló). At the same time he was municipal architect of Gavà and Viladecans.
He also constructed a number of buildings in the Modernista style in Vic, the town where he did a large proportion of his work, such as Casa Fortuny (1910; Jacint Verdaguer, 13) and Casa Vilaró (1910; Jacint Verdaguer, 12; no longer in existence).
