Santiago de Cuba (1881) - Barcelona (1958)

Born to Catalan parents, as a child he went to live in Barcelona. He later went to Paris to further study drawing.
On returning to Catalonia he exhibited his work at Sala Parés with the Guayaba group and magazines such as L´Esquella de la Torratxa and Cu-cut! published his drawings, which he signed as Yda. These drawings were of scenes of Catalan and Parisian folklore.
He also designed posters with the same kind of subject matter.
