
He collaborated on the work of the Temple of the Sagrada Família (1882; unfinished), by A. Gaudí, making the models of the human figures with L. Matamala.
He later went to Paris, where he went to work for the jewellers Cartier and acquired a reputation as a goldsmith. Shortly afterwards he was called to London where he received commissions to make jewellery for the upper classes of Europe and America.
