June 10 is considered the International Day of Modernisme, commemorating the death of two great architects of the modernist movement: Antoni Gaudí, who died at the Hospital de la Santa Creu on June 10, 1926, and the Hungarian architect Ödön Lechner, died on the same day in 1914.
On the occasion of the International Day of Modernisme, the Pavilions Güell, which Gaudí built for his patron Eusebi Güell in the years 1884-1887, will open on Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
